Ford Reveals New Puma Gen-E

🚗 Ford has unveiled the Puma Gen-E, its first fully electric version of the popular compact crossover, combining sporty design and practicality with an advanced electric powertrain.
The Puma Gen-E achieves an energy consumption of 13.1 kWh, offering a range of 376 km, or up to 523 km for city driving.
Fast charging takes the battery from 10-80% in 23 minutes, and it accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 8 seconds.
A spacious 574-litre boot, enhanced by the GigaBox, and a 43-litre "frunk" provide exceptional storage.
Features include one-pedal driving, adaptive cruise control, and advanced lighting options.
Inside, dual high-definition screens, SYNC 4 connectivity, and Alexa integration modernise the cabin.
Production is based in Romania, with deliveries expected in spring 2025, positioning the Puma Gen-E as a family-friendly and eco-conscious choice.

GM Selling its Stake in Michigan Battery Plant to LG Energy Solution

New York Announces Contracts for 23 Renewable Energy Projects

☀️ New York State has approved 23 new renewable energy projects, anticipated to generate over 2,500 jobs and $4.7 billion in private investment. This initiative, part of NYSERDA’s 2023 Tier 1 Renewable Energy Standard solicitation, aims to bolster clean energy production, enhance grid resiliency, and support economic growth.
The projects will reduce annual CO2 emissions by 2.3 million metric tons, equal to removing 350,000 cars from the roads.
Community benefit funds totalling $249 million will support disadvantaged areas, alongside public health improvements from reduced pollution.
Construction is underway for some projects, with all expected to be operational by 2028. Payments are tied to project completion.
NYSERDA will assist local governments with zoning, permitting, taxes, and community engagement to ensure effective implementation.
These efforts add to New York’s 46 ongoing renewable projects, targeting 6.3 gigawatts of clean energy for 3.7 million homes.

The power modules optimise the powerbox for improved motor efficiency, battery range, and energy regeneration.
Ampere’s new electric motors will support 400-volt and 800-volt systems, enabling faster charging and extended driving ranges.
A key feature is the 800-volt system, allowing a 10%-80% charge in under 15 minutes.
The partnership aligns with both companies’ goals for sustainable mobility and reducing automotive carbon emissions.
Ampere aims to master the EV supply chain, leveraging STMicroelectronics’ expertise in silicon carbide technology and advanced packaging.
