⚡ Watts up? Ford has just announced its numbers for last month, and it’s looking good for electric vehicles. Over 10,000 EVs were sold in November, a 21% rise compared to last year. Models like the Mach-E achieved a 38% increase in sales, whilst the E-Transit is close to 400%. Ford Announces Strong November Results – Breaking EV Sales Record

🚗 Ford Motor Co. reported a 14% year-on-year increase in U.S. vehicle sales for November, achieving its strongest performance since the onset of the pandemic. Total sales reached 166,373 units, including a record-breaking 10,821 electric vehicles, which comprised 6.5% of the total, reflecting a 21% rise compared to last year.
The all-electric Mustang Mach-E achieved a 38% sales increase, while the E-Transit van saw a 358% growth. However, F-150 Lightning EV sales fell by 17%.
Including hybrids, Ford’s electrified vehicles accounted for 14% of sales, a 40% increase from November 2022.
Internal combustion engine vehicles also performed well, rising 13%.
Truck and van sales surged 23%, with F-Series pickups up 27% and hybrid F-Series models climbing 52%.
SUV sales rose 8%, led by the Explorer’s 14% growth and the Bronco’s 255% rebound.
Lincoln SUVs recorded a 49% jump, with hybrids contributing significantly.
Industry-wide trends, including lower interest rates and higher incentives, supported sales growth across multiple automakers. Ford’s success was further buoyed by its “Power Promise” EV incentives and improved production efficiency.

Rivian Adventure Network Opens its First Chargers for all EVs

🔋 Rivian has unveiled its next-generation Rivian Adventure Network charging sites, designed for its vehicles and other EVs across North America. The first site, located in Joshua Tree, California, is now operational, with additional sites planned for 2024 in states such as Texas, Colorado, and New York.
These stations support rapid charging up to 900 volts, feature CCS compatibility, and will soon include native NACS connectors.
They are accessible to all EV drivers, offering tap-to-pay functionality and app-free operation, while Rivian owners enjoy seamless integration.
Powered by 100% renewable energy, the network aligns with Rivian’s sustainability goals to reduce transportation emissions.
The initiative also complies with federal and state funding criteria, ensuring reliability and broad accessibility.
CEO RJ Scaringe emphasised the importance of an extensive, user-friendly charging network for advancing electrification. The Rivian Adventure Network not only facilitates adventurous journeys but is expected to become a significant revenue source as it simplifies EV travel across North America.

Cloudberry Clean Energy ASA Undergoes Expansion in Denmark

☀️ Cloudberry Clean Energy ASA has signed a strategic agreement with Jørgen Skovgaard Holding Aps, advancing its Nordic growth strategy and expanding its footprint in Denmark. The deal increases Cloudberry’s production capacity by 18%, strengthening its portfolio in one of the region’s most profitable energy markets.
Cloudberry now fully owns the Odin portfolio, adding 78 GWh of wind assets in Denmark’s DK-1 region.
The agreement also includes an 80% stake in Norway’s Svåheia wind farm, contributing 70 GWh, and other Danish wind assets producing 13 GWh.
It secures a pipeline of Danish development projects and a skilled local team, reducing future operational costs.
Cloudberry acquires a 5-7% stake in Skovgaard Energy A/S, gaining access to solar, wind, and biogas assets.
Financed through cash, debt, and a share issuance at a 52% premium, the transaction reflects shared commitment to renewable energy. Expected to close in Q1 2025, this deal positions Cloudberry for significant growth and profitability in the Nordic energy market.

An 80 kWh battery pack with SILO Silicon can shrink from 7,000 cells weighing 565 kg to under 2,000 cells at just 150 kg—a 73% weight reduction.
A 300 kg pack achieves 160 kWh of power, doubling typical ranges from 290 miles to over 580 miles without increasing weight.
This breakthrough cuts costs by reducing battery size and weight while enhancing energy density, making EVs more efficient and appealing.
CEO Jeff Norris highlighted SILO Silicon’s potential to redefine the EV industry, exceeding current standards and supporting the shift towards sustainable transportation. By tackling range anxiety and cost challenges, this innovation can position EVs for broader market adoption.
