ZOOX

Autonomous Taxis

Zoox were showcasing their new robotaxi, a completely autonomous vehicle that doesn’t even include a steering wheel!

What makes Zoox’s robotaxi unique, apart from the lack of a cockpit, is it’s bi-directional platform and four-wheel steering, allowing for greater flexibility when picking up or dropping off.

They are currently testing the vehicles in San Fransisco, with plans to expand into other cities, like Las Vegas, later this year.

AC FUTURE

AI Transformer Homes

AC Future were showing off their new “AI Transformer Homes,“ including the AI-THu, AI-THt, and AI-THd. Overall, the AI-THd stood out the most, it’s a fully electric RV which can deliver up to 200 miles of range, which is particularly impressive given its size.

While AC Future have not delivered any units just yet, reservations are available, and it’s great to see innovation within an industry like recreational vehicles.

AEROHT

Land Aircraft Carrier

Xpeng’s AeroHT was definitely one of the most unique vehicles we’ve covered so far, its a land aircraft carrier, known as the “mothership,” which stores an eVTOL in its trunk.

Both components are fully electric, with the eVTOL being designed specifically for low altitude flights, you can see it in action here.

The land aircraft carrier will initially be used by emergency services, for situations like medical rescues, obstacle crossings, highway accident responses, and high-rise evacuations.

Technical details surrounding range, pricing, and release are yet to be announced.

ZEEKR

Redefining Sustainable and Intelligent Transportation

Zeekr’s stand showcased a series of transformative initiatives and technological advancements, including a collaboration with Qualcomm. This collaboration involves the integration of the Snapdragon Cockpit Platform, with key features like:

• Immersive entertainment - enhanced displays and superior audio for an engaging user experience.

• Customisable interfaces - personalised dashboard settings for each driver.

• OTA updates - seamless over-the-air updates to continually improve user experience.

They also showcased many new vehicle models, including the:

• Zeekr 001 FR - a luxury shooting brake balancing comfort and ultra-performance.

• Zeekr 009 Grand - a four-seater MPV redefined as a tranquil and safe mobile sanctuary.

• Zeekr Mix - a family-friendly SUV with maximised interior space and a unique design.

Zeekr’s RT robotaxi was at Waymo’s stand too, a customised version of its Mix minivan, tailored for Waymo’s autonomous vehicle operations.

MANTA

Hydrogen Powered eVTOL

Finally, Manta showed off their latest eVTOL, a single person vehicle designed for short flights on battery power, and longer flights with a hydrogen fuel cell.

It’s set to go into production next year, with a few pre-orders already made. Shipping is set for 2026, and you can order one yourself for around $300k.

One focus is luxury yacht owners, where it can be used to get to shore. Also, it also doesn't require a pilots license and can take off and land on water.
