• The investment will fund the development of the UK’s largest EV battery recycling facility in Teesside, expected to process battery waste from 150,000 EVs annually and produce 30,000 metric tonnes of low-carbon cathode active materials (CAM).

• This facility could fulfil 20% of the UK’s CAM demand by 2030, reducing reliance on imported materials and conserving resources.

• Altilium’s EcoCathode technology recovers over 95% of battery metals, potentially cutting raw material costs by 20% and greenhouse gas emissions by 74%.
